Pegoretti Mxxxxxo: 58

Welp. If I'm going deep down the rabbit hole, I'm going deep. Why mess around?

Lookie what followed me home yesterday. It's a terrible thing living near Lakeside Bicycles. I find this paint alluring having never really looked at it up close before. Most nifty, atmo, is how the paint appears when looking down at it from the riding position. This light tan base is really nice. The "lines" are like a light lilac/mauve. Delicate to offset the brute force of the frame...just like me.

Build will be C12 with WTO 45s. This will lead to some fun jousting with my Love #3.

Wow - I absolutely love that paint! Now with 2 new Pegs in the stable? You, my friend, are baller.

Wow, there's been quite the run on large Pegs lately! Nice pickup here.

And noticed somebody over the weekend picked up the 59 Fina Estampa that The Pro's Closet had in inventory.

Although that Duende 57 is still available...pretty sweet build in my opinion

Glad to see you elected to retrieve it from the garbage

It has a familiar look to it, for some reason…

Awesome build.

I just pulled the trigger on the 2019 Marcelo on TPC after selling my Alchemy Hyas.

Will get a few things changed out then will post photos.

Also have a Respo Disk Ciavete on order that I will dial in fitting for with a visit to them in Italy. That build will be C12 Chorus, Deda, WTO 33.

Great pickup! Finding a Marcelo for sale is rare as it is - even more rare to find one with such a great build and at a very reasonable price.. looking forward to your thread and reviews on it. Any idea when the Ciavete Respo will be getting done?

LAVI - stellar build - the blackout everything really lets the frameset's beauty shine through!

That MxxxxxO was a screaming deal. Glad a fellow PL mate got it. Looking fwd to your comments on the shifting as well. If I remember correctly that build used a monoblock Presta (similar to EDCO or Recon) cassette which is a good 100g lighter than a Record one. If you tell me it shifts right, that same cassette will go immediately in my MxxxxxO.

Also, when you stop by in Italy, if you happen to visit Rome and want to ride, feel free to reach out. Have a good Pegoretti "club" going here and happy to take you for a road ride around Rome.

Gotta admit I'm a little jealous of all the new-peg fever going around lately.

Great stuff guys!

That looks really nice. The all black Campagnolo really makes the frame a showpiece.
