I playfully used the term "Anyroad" as this bike could literally be ridden on any road, but perhaps you interpreted that as Allroad and thats where the confusion originated.

Yes, my brain read what it wanted to.

Have we seen a post on this beast?

Always look forward to the latest Upcountry build thread!!!

Would be interested in a complete geo chart pic if you have one.

Klaassen Razor Multipurpose is a similar frame triangle look tyre-clearance that can be setup 2x. Deda sc/alu.

Owly, I actually had never seen Klassen before. I'm a huge fan of aluminum frames, so that thing certainly tugs at a heart string. I wasn't able to see any geometry numbers on it, but I'm assuming its very much more oriented to road type angles and numbers. And as they mentioned 55mm "beach tires" I'm thinking that a knobby 2" tire might be too much for that bike, but still impressive.

Here's my full geometry chart, and a few pictures of it coming together with saddle height set and bars in place.
I'll be able to run these wheels until I get the new ones build up, so I'm only waiting on a few little bits(saddle, BB, direct mount hanger, ti bolts)... oh yeah, and snow...
I'm really, really happy with how its coming together. I enjoy the research and rounding up all the components, but you never fully know how it'll all mesh together, especially when its based on some numbers on a white page on a screen.

That looks pretty cool. You have a similar saddle to bar distance as my setup.

The roadie in you may want to try some 29x2.2 SpeedKing Racesport some time

A SabrePro TR is another plush and lower-weight tyre option with a small knob.

*it's worth noting that the geometry chart stem isn't actually what I'm running, nor are the spacers. As it sits in the pictures I've got a 2.5mm spacer under the stem, and the stem is 100mm x -12º, resulting in ~85mm of drop versus the 59mm shown in the chart

I'm really holding my breath that Continental makes a Terra Speed 50mm or 55mm, heck even a Terra Trail. I know it's inevitable, as they've gone from 36mm to 40mm to now a 45mm offering. The Terra Trail is nearly as chunky as the Raceking, which measures only 1w slower than the Speedking but offers a ton more traction. I debated trying a set of the Terra Hardpacks, which truly are just a 2.0" version of the Speedking but I'd prefer to have a few knobs, even at the expense of a few watts.

Regarding Kenda; its funny how many offerings that they have that kind of go unnoticed or under appreciated. I know a few riders who are supported by them and they truly do have good things to say, but Kenda is just never one of the brands I've looked towards. Part of this is probably that there is little to no testing results for Kenda. The only one on BicycleRollingResistance is the SmallBlock8 which from the eyeball test should be quick, yet tests at nearly double of what a Raceking does. The SaberPro actually looks really solid, and affordably priced with competitive specs for weight.

Tufo is a similarly placed brand that has just recently really broken through with some nice gravel offerings, and worth keeping an eye on as well.

Wow this looks like a really fun build!! I too have my fingers crossed for some larger CX tire offerings by conti in the near future. It does seem they're headed in that direction!

After a shipping delay on my BH90 brake hose, I should have everything to get this together over the weekend! I'll update photos and hopefully get out for a spin on it if the weather cooperates.
One thing of note that I mentioned early on, and is clearly not an option, is a 2x setup with front derailleur. I slid a 50/34 crankset in, and it was about 10mm short of full insertion before the inner ring came in contact with the chain stay... So while perhaps a 36/26 or some sort of MTB double might work, even a subcompact gravel type setup doesn't seem doable.

10mm short eh?
Guess that means a 42/22 wouldn't fit.

It's hard to say without physically trying a certain combo. With how much the chainstay quickly tapers in towards the bottom bracket, I bet something like a 24 or 26 inner would work. Honestly I'm not too bothered if its relegated to only 1x use. There is some beauty in the simplicity of if, and with the cassette and chainring options I've got, there will be no lack of gear range.

The geo is 100% match but it’s real close to my custom rigs. Lemme know when you are ready to move on

hahaha! Madsciencenow, deal!

Here it is all together. Really easy assembly all round. Tight Di2 wiring in the bottom bracket, and getting the four way junction in the seat tube, but it'll work, and shouldn't need to be fiddled with going forward. I splurged on the Enduro XD15 bottom bracket, with bearings that supposedly last forever, so that'll ease any maintenance schedule. I'm undecided on the aesthetics of the titanium post versus the carbon S-works, but I'll be running the titanium one for any loaded trips, as its a bit of extra peace of mind with a bag/rack/weight strapped to it. The S-Works might have a bit more flex, so I'll give that a try though for everyday riding. I've got a stem project to play with here shortly, but want to give it a spin as it sits for a baseline. I've also got a Garbaruk cage inbound, as the upper pulley wheel just barely clears the 46t cog, even with the B-Limit screwed in pretty far, so the Garbaruk will remedy that, and even allow me to go up to their 50t if I ever needed to. As it is its a 40t up front, and 11-46 out back which will be plenty for my day to day rides.

Pretty impressively only 20.8lbs as shown. That'll drop another 200g with the inbound rims and smaller tires, not that I really care about weight for this build, but it doesn't hurt to know.

That looks sharp. I enjoy your builds and the specificity of each one.
Could you share what kind of events/terrain this is for? Sorry if you covered this already!

I have done some riding in the Eastern Sierras where I think you're based, so I can see how this would be great for some of those fire roads into/in the mountains. At the same time, I also appreciate some suspension for the descents--also what I brought for that summer.
