On with Challenge Strada 27's.

Bliss

I've always gone back and forth on that one in our area, and my Hampsten with 32s will be ready for the weekend, so it's top of mind again.

What makes them feel too fat for you? Is it speed or just feel?

32's at 50-60 pounds is the edge for me.
Anything bigger I feel like riding a beach cruiser.

That chain looks a couple of links short (IMO). But really nice bike!

Perfect!
Oh man, you are killing me.
After chatting with Ira at PBE and seeing this, the flames of desire are stoked again to have one of these.

Enjoy!!

Thanks for the comments. With tires, it's just a "feel" thing IMO, i prefer skinny tires on the road

With regard to the chain length, I've been playing with it, and it's actually a hair longer now, but the spring tension on the RD off, I need to further investigate a solution that allows me to use the whole cassette in both rings.

Recent Silca sale pushed me over the edge of indecision and now I have an Impero on this bike too. Weather looks promising this week, hope to get out and stretch the legs on Weds before the turkey day feedings.

How were the Ultradynamico Cava Races? If you don't want 'em anymore, I'd consider taking them off your hands.

Great bike - and the UD tires are excellent in my experience!

It's 1". Using a simworks stem with a shim, which aesthetically works pretty well since the simworks/nitto stem is pretty svelte itself.

This bike is wearing Ambrosio Nemesis wheels now. They just feel "right" for this bike. I think I will be using these wheels for a while on here. Shot of the front shows just how much clearance this frame has. Tires pictured are 25mm.

Final thing I really wanted for my Breadwinner. DA 7810 pedals in mint condition. Otherwise known as the best clipless road pedals ever made.

Tried these recently and they do indeed feel that little bit nicer than the newer carbon pedals

I agree! I am jealous, this is a very clean pair.
