Beautiful color! I worked with Justin to design and order my old GT-2 and it was a pleasure working with him.

Still loving this thing and knocking out the miles. Rides perfectly for those mixed rides where I go hunting for the hardpack dirt roads all over Westchester while not giving up much on the road.

I have no clue on the actual name of the color, I gave them a photo of my college oar blade and they did the rest to match it all up to Williams purple. I don't think it's a stock color. The fork is going back this winter to add stripes that got missed.

Williams Purple is awesome. I asked for NYU violet but we’re still working out the exact color I think they are inching me towards a stock color of theirs

What size are the 650 tires? I was under the impression 650’s didn’t fit and the ar had the 700/38 size limit. Got a gt-2 45 mainly for that reason. Very curious what you’re able to fit in there.

Bike looks awesome. Congrats.

These are 650Bx42 Rene Herse tires, and the bike was built around them to get road-ish handling with fat tires. I think I could squeeze a little bigger or knobs in there but maybe not a 48. I'm not so into extreme gravel like some, this is more to rip fire roads and packed dirt roads around here.

I think going custom does open up quite a bit on options for what works and what it clears. Justin @ Black Oak Velo here in Greenwich has put together a LOT of these 650b bikes on the AR fork for folks and they are a blast.

Looks great. 42’s don’t look out of place at all and makes a lot of sense that it’s a slightly custom geo. Thanks for the info. Love the shorter wheelbase on the ar vs 45. Bet it’s a lot of fun.
