T-Lab X3
I have a few bikes in the stable, but this T-Lab X3 has become my main ride. I throw 35c Bon Jon Pass tires on for road and 45’s for mixed surface and our rough Washington gravel. I bought this bike late last year and even though I only have ~500 miles on it I can certainly say it’s become a favorite of mine. I’ll just say it feels right, like it was made for me, even though it’s not custom. It’s very easy to get in rhythm with it. I’m a new poster on the forum and am constantly impressed and inspired by the various bikes posted by all of you. I was cleaning this one after a long gravel ride yesterday, thought it was looking pretty sharp and so decided I’d share with the class.

These are really smooth riding bikes. I had the opportunity to try one out and it was very plush. Allroad/Gravel style bikes are just a ton of fun to ride! Looks great!

That shaped downtube is so fancy!

The shaped tubing is certainly fun to look at if nothing else. I wouldn’t ever be so bold to make any claims about ride differences based purely on tubing, but one thing I like about how they built it is the bike feels stiff enough to hold a line on chunky gravel and to respond well to stomping on the pedals, but as mentioned above still quite comfortable and capable of soaking up the bumps. They struck a very nice balance in their design. It’s become a bit of a Goldilocks bike for me.

Thanks! I completely agree on the allroad bikes. They’re a blast and I think ti is such a great frame material for the concept.

Ryan - stunner of a build. Tell me, how was your experience w/ Wayne at SpeedGear? I just pinged him for a wheel build and wanted to check references as I don't see a bunch of talk of him/his shop on PLF.

I'm not the OP but do have some experience with Wayne at Speedgear. He built me a set of mountain bike wheels a couple years ago that have been fantastic. Extremely well built. I'd have no problems going back to him again if I was in the market for new wheels.
