I really dig how the tag line matches the paint job. Well done, Luc. Surely, you’re not riding dirt on rim brakes, though?

Looks great Luc. I’m sure the pic you took didn’t do the paint job justice. Is that a Ritchey fork? I’m curious why Scarab opts to go with the 1 1/8 HT for discs. Is that for weight saving or aesthetic concerns?

I like that color—and the 1 1/8 headtube ala Ritchey.

It is indeed a Ritchey Fork with a 1 1/8 inch headset (wolftooth). More info and photos to come once we get better pictures and some more ride time. But its a blast so far! |

different
that color scheme is a little different and by that I mean Amazing. Those are the colors of my undergraduate alma mater - so I might be biased.

Great looking bike. Scarab is firing on all cylinders and really underrated - some of the best work in steel out there at the moment.
I’m also thrilled that they offer this model with the 1 1/8” head tube and the straight steerer Ritchey fork. The aesthetics just “work” better for a steel road bike. You can also order it built with a 44mm headtube and a tapered fork, but it’s not clear that a tapered fork steerer is necessary for this application at all. I think the only other brand in the market with this is Ritchey himself, who offers the Outback and the Ritchey Road Logic Disc with a straight steerer. |

Luc,
How do you like the Alto wheels? I saw them at NAHBS in 2019. I was always intrigued by them. Also, any feedback on the fork? Certainly goes "against the grain." Lastly, you need to talk to Jeff N. about getting a 'red fade' water bottle. He "knows people." ![]() |
