Have you noticed a different with the new tires + specifics (tubeless)?
Wonderful looking bike! |

Compass SBH >> WTB. Compass are extremely plush and very fast for their volume. Hard to imagine going back to the WTBs for my use case.
One drawback is that they don’t seem to hold air overnight quite as well setup tubeless. Seems kind of random, as the front tire is more prone to this than the rear. I like to run them at about 35 front/40 rear and when I get the bike down from it’s hook in the morning, the front is sitting at about 19 and the rear at 35. ![]() |

the spurcycle bells are awesome, they are not a weight weenie bell... weight weenies don't use bells.

The views are terrible here, the riding sucks, I should totally move.

Eli--great bike! Do you run just the rear mount Cycliq, or both ends?

Both ends. Yesterday I got some “great footage” of a terrifying threat from an angry man in a pickup that’s waiting for the sheriff to view. Worth every penny.

It is, though some days I'm tempted to cut 6 pounds off it by swapping out teh frame for the new Stigmata. Probably won't though...

I swapped my elephant for my OPEN. No regrets what so ever. However for a commuter, can't beat something like this. Fenders, racks and still super fun to ride. Also looks awesome.

Eli - beautiful bike. You’ve inspired me to build something similar, or maybe shamelessly copy you. Did you have to make any modifications to your rear fender to get it to fit? The tech page for the Road+ frame says some trimming at the chainstay might be necessary.

Karl - yeah, the Honjo 62mm fenders won't fit between the chainstays out of the box. Crimping them a bit from both sides does the job, though. I can put up a photo of the modification tonight if you'd like.

Wow, those images bring back wonderful memories. I used to live in Mill Valley and trained with the likes of Joe Breeze back in the early ‘70s. I miss riding on Mt. Tam on my ‘72 Campy-equipped Ron Cooper! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
