Thanks all!
The alloy frame/steel fork/big Compass tire combination makes for a plush, planted ride, that's rather inviting of riding really, really fast. I snapped that pic on Old County Rd in Bristol, ME. |

the promethazine bottle is the only excuse to put your helmet in the dirt like that.

one of my favorite bikes on this forum, easily... and that's saying a lot!
ps: what fenders for those fat 650b tires? |

Thanks! The fenders are Berthoud 26" 60mm fenders that have been ever so slightly massaged/reradiused for 650b use.

Dig the color, do you know the RAL code?

No idea, tbh. I asked Paul to make it look like a Unicorn took a dump, and he came back with "Maybe something like a rainbow trout," which I think pretty apt.

Haha both are fantastic interpretations of that color. I'd say he nailed it.

Thanks! They’re 2.0s, so not ultra wide. We’re planning a largely dirt route, and I’ve heard rumor of goatheqds, so I wanted something a little burlier and tubeless than the Compass I usually run.
Really looking forward to some time in short sleeves in the sun. I’ve been back and forth between TN and NYC a lot this fall and it’s cold and wet everywhere. |

Those front bags are nice. How are they exactly carried on the fork legs... something similar to a Salsa Anything Cage?
Superb bike! |
