Paceline's Dario Pegoretti Gallery

Rather than post an individual bike thread, I think it would be great to have a consolidated thread of Pegoretti bikes owned by Paceline members. Dario is a framebuilding master and has some of the most expressive paint schemes around. Let this be a thread where we can come to see the realizations of his creativity all in one place.

Only rules are that the bike must be currently or formerly owned by you or someone close to you. Let's avoid just pulling random pictures off the internet.

I'll get it started - a 58cm Responsorium in Goze, one of his standard paint schemes. I've got almost 4k miles on this one. Last fall I had a brain lapse and thought I needed a smaller frame size, but after experimenting around, I ended up rebuilding this one and realized how mistaken I was. This bike was and remains the best handling bike I have ever ridden. Nothing inspires as much confidence when descending at speed.

Rebuilt almost entirely with parts sourced off the forum including Chorus 10-spd grouppo, Shamal Ti wheelset, Ritchey stem, Deda bars, and King headset. I had the Nitto post, Regale saddle, Vittoria tires, and King cages already.

Oh yeah. To all things Dario, nothing exceeds like excess.

Reply edited in here as I don't wish to distract from the visual stream of eye candy that is the work of Dario's bike creations.

Link to a photo from another thread with my position on the hoods which is remarkably similar to that of Sir Wiggo. The Peg is not identically setup as of that to the c-50 in the linked picture - the c-50 has the same drop but shorter in the saddle-to-bars by 8mm. hoods-wiggo-fuzz

@majl

Can we get more shots of your bike? Rear 3/4 is such a tease.

Don't think I've seen it elsewhere.

Purchased somewhat rashly from Mosquito Bikes in London circa 2004?

Rode it a couple years. Found another Marcelo.

Need to build this one up again, maybe.
I really like that

Of course - here's a full bike pic. Initially had the matching Chorus alloy cranks but couldn't get my legs to shut up on long days of climbing so had to cave and put on a compact.

@rallizes - I don't think I've ever seen that paint scheme - very cool.

@profkrispy - a couple of years ago, one of the shops local to me had a BLE in my size in that same paint scheme - beautiful. I knew that I would never generate enough power to get the most out of that frame though.

Which Nitto seatpost is that? Would look great on my Duende in "ethnic" black...

It's a 27.2 S-83 two-bolt post running with a shim.
