It is somewhat variable based on the level of detail (open face plate, custom lugs, etc).

My most popular stems are quill and thread less fillet brazed jobs with single bolt faces, chromed (in one of an assortment of finishes). Those are regularly in the $400 range.

There are a boat load of "standard" options, and even more one off variables. It's best to ask for a specific project.

All of your work is great, but these 2 are ..... Heck I can't seem to find a word/words to tell you just how nice they are!

I sent this photo to someone with an inquiry- seemed like I might as well add it here, too.

Custom lug, integrated "spacers":

domed extension

Eric, these are truly astounding. I particularly dig the curved / domed rear extension, haven't seen that detail before.

Thanks! That is a fun and subtle detail.

Saturday and Sunday I caught up with my cold related back log on stems. One for a Sachs, and another for a Rhygin.

whoa. these are amazing! I've always wanted to build custom threadless stems at the perfect length, angle, and stack height. Makes the bike...

Ohh, the threaded stem with a face-plate. A much prettier option than those recalled Salsas! Beautiful! I love see the whole process.

Eric . . .

I'm totally intrigued by that double length, single height adaptive stem. Is that adaptive for a ride with two widely varying arm lengths?

Yes indeed. It was made for a gentleman that has a 2" discrepancy as well as some significant hand and grip issues. The stem allows him to have even arm extension and a comfortable weight on both hands. It also allowed him to use his front shifter and brake for the first time.

The stem extensions are at compound angles that put the bar sides parallel and at the same height, but at different reaches.

That was a fun project.
