Purple Masi Team 3V - 58cm - SOLD

The iconic purple Team 3V. This has been amazingly well cared for by several of us Paceliners with a few cosmetic blems only.

Since I got it, I had Eric at Winter build a new steel stem and fork to give it a more modern reach and stack, then had an Ericksen Ti Sweetpost, frame pump, and a custom made "carry tube" all paint matched. (...see also https://forums.thepaceline.net/showt...=250560&page=2)

Also included are an Italian square taper bb, Italian Campy bb cups, and a Cane Creek 110 headset.

Great riding steel frame... I'll find the geometry/paperwork/brochures that I've got on it later today (edit: I found the original geo chart from a mag review... they tested the same size as this frame. I also had Eric make the stem made to mimic my Look 585 with ~15mm of spacers and a 0 degree 110mm stem), but wanted to put this out there... questions welcomed.

SOLD... and we can split shipping

That's so cool!

I had a frameset identical to that (but a 54) when I raced in college!

Such a great deal for that iconic frameset with a new custom fork, custom painted Ericksen Ti post, and custom stem... one could easily pay more than the asking price for those 3 pieces alone.

And a blast from the past, when this lovely thing was under my ownership ~ 12 yrs ago.

Addendum: '58' in this case really means a slightly generous 56 in standard sizing. My saddle height in that pic is 75.5 cm.

Masi sizing was measured C-T-T, so about a 56 C-t-C sounds about right.

I could totally ride this rig--I have that crashed one that needed repairs still sitting around, but at the rate that I complete projects, I'll be in a walker before its done.

This thing is super cool.

Rear end spaced at 130? Tire clearance?

Is the color of the replacement fork the same purple as the original fork?
Also, can you confirm the stem length and clamp size?

This is really nice. For someone who usually rides 12mph, this looks too fast. At least it would give others more time to admire the purple goodness.

I can help with some of that. Yes, 130 mm spacing.

The pic above is the 3V on 22 mm tubulars… sort of SOP way back in 2010.

thank you, thwart, for moderating while I was away...

Yes to all of it... it's 130, likely fits 28s with room to spare (I rode it with Michelin 25s, which balloon out to at least that), and the paint match is really quite good. It's Italian threaded BB and you could resto-mod this out with all black components and it looks really cool.

The two faces in the electric plug socket say it all...
