Great to know Velocolour can match and touch up.
Any issues with shipping frame across and back over Canadian and US border? |

I can’t spend your money but I would send it back to SV. Were I to buy a used SV, I wouldn’t care if Vanilla repainted it, but if anyone else did, I would not want to spend as much. FWIW, I bought a used Vanilla and had them repaint it. Perfect job.

I reached out to Joe Bell but he wasn't able to take on the project. He recommended Toby Stanton of Hot Tubes. Reached out to Toby and he was a pleasure to deal with. Paid him my deposit. Then I had to back out of the project (unfortunately). Deposit was promptly refunded, no questions asked.
Toby was a real mensch and I will use him when I can commission the job again. So, no experience with the actual work, but he has my vote all the same. |

I actually asked SV, and they said they are booked solid, but they will maybe be able to open up in summer.

Jordan Low - used to paint for Hot Tubes, now off on his own with a paint shop in Lowell, MA. He did a ton of NAHBS bikes I think most of the Tomii frames.

Likely just the cost of shipping back and forth. Our low $$ helps you folks a bit in terms of the work that they do though.

It's a tool not a jewel...
Seriously pretty bike based on the pic but you didn't show pics of areas affected with alleged surface rust. I think it's expensive to paint bikes professionally especially to replicate your bike's paint scheme and they are only original once. However with minor issues it's important to paint bikes when it comes to corrosion protection. That's why you need to get a nice color matching touch up paint and do it yourself. Have you considered this?...maybe feel around locally and see if there is a local auto body shop that can whip you up a batch of custom color matching paint? I dunno...it's your bike, your money and you do you booboo but all it is is a bike. I say that because I go thru this crap with all kinds of machines that I own and love and at the end of the day all though not perfect they are still mine and they look great and work great and are admired by many. only I know of their imperfections.
