JDM hotness.
I thought this was a reference to the mystery brake setup! (because the non VW show car in that scene is infamous for not having front brakes.

Beautiful build. Might have to stop by Blacksmith to check it out. I also have a Cherubim Cento on the way, seems like there is a good amount of Cherubim owners in the GTA

That is incredible.

I'm so interested to hear your ride report comparing three expertly crafted machines. Are they all specced to do similar, or different types of riding?

Built up - finally

Well after a LONG time, I finally have the Cherubim built up, and it will now be relegated to the storage room until spring. Oh well.

I'll post more detailed pics when I get my proper camera out. In the interim, here are some full shots when at Blacksmith Cycle yesterday for the pick-up. I know they took some photos for their insta, and they will share those with me aswell.

Specs:

Custom Cherubim - Kaisei tubeset, filet brazed, small aero fillets, monostay, undermount rear brake, tapered headtube (1 1/8 to 1 1/4)
Matching Cherubim stem (it's like a boat anchor, HEAVY), but pairs well
Mike Lopez custom carbon fork with ti- dropouts
Corima MCC tubulars (however, coincidentally I just sold these the same day, so unsure what this bike will role on)
EE Brakes
NOS vintage Shimano 7400 fluted seatpost and crankset - square taper Dura-ace bb paired to 53-39 Boone Industries titanium chainrings, PMP chainring bolts
Modern 9100 series shifters, FD and RD with OSPW
KMC SL 11 chain
Shimano Pro-vide aero handlebar
NOS Cannondale Immix bottle cages (ti and carbon)
Keywin pedals
Silca bar tape
White industries blacked-out headset
Selle San Marco Concor Carbon FX saddle

A mix of new and old, and my first bike with Shimano, which is only fitting for a Japanese ride.
