Internet beef

Even in this tiny echo chamber we still have some pretty big differences in the ways we understand cycling and the equipment associated with it. I think we do a pretty good job at being civil but it is always tempting to be a rude Or condescending on the internet. I know I fall into this trap.

I know we need to really hash these things out but let’s try to be as civil as possible.

I am going to redouble my efforts and I am sorry for being rude sometimes here.

Good post.

I have met SO many people from this forum in real life. All of them have been welcoming, interesting to talk to and cool. Too easy to lose your cool over the 'net.

I'm glad this wasnt an Omaha Steaks infomercial

I once took a 2-year timeout from a forum I used to pretty much live on, because I lost my cool one time and posted something totally idiotic, and was called out for it by someone I knew from real life.

They were right! I was being a huge jerk! I was morbidly embarrassed.

Anyway, it's the internet, and we're talking about bikes, this should be fun. Ideally.

I've never posted a cross word toward bicycletricycle on the internet because his photo gives me the impression he could easily hurt me if and when he caught me. And he has my home address. Self-preservation first!

The homeowner's association fb page for my neighborhood is my outlet. When bored, I grade their posts for spelling and punctuation.

It is fun to play with the dry ice. Dark room, a green light, add water and wooohooooo.

I buy almost all of my beef here. Truth.

He started out trying to restore the prairie. He didn't expect that ranching wild buffalo would be a big part of that.
