Cleaning grease off of carbon rims

I built my wheel with 40mm BTLOS rim.
I use Tef-gel on the spoke threads and got some on the rim.
It is a greasy like substance.
I tried using soapy water and isopropyl alcohol but it did not completely remove it. Tef-Gel recommends to use mineral spirits, Is this safe for carbon fiber?

Thanks

WD40 is effective at cutting Tef-Gel. Put some on a rag and use that.

Mineral spirits should be ok. I would use a liberal amount of dish soap directly on the greasy area instead.

Another solution is Pledge furniture spray wax...takes off grease and such, leaves a shine and a nice lemony smell.

Mineral spirits will not damage carbon fiber. Neither will acetone. I had bar tape glued at the ends with contact cement. Acetone works well to remove the glue. Brake fluid doesn't bother it either. I soaked a piece of steering tube in brake fluid for weeks. It did no damage.
