MOOTS Vamoots, 2010 era, 105 bike alert

Today I bought a Vamoots from a friend. It's been a while since I've had a light road bike and now that I'm in marginally better shape than last year I want a bike that makes me feel fast. Boring-ass ultegra build incoming and I'm never buying road pedals again so SPD it is. This is my first titanium bike and I'm excited to try out a frame material that old people seem to love!

Looks good and it will still be a great bike in another 10 years. Plus, I've never heard of anyone not enjoying their Moots. Although boring, the 6800 stuff works great.

To me, the standard for ti quality is Moots. Never owned one, but I have also never heard criticism os them. That is high praise.

Are you using this White Industries cranks or the Ultegra ones?

Thanks for the words, yall! The cranks were options I didn't end up using. I think I'm just going to do a merlin 8000 group, used c24 from another mate, nitto or carbon bits, gsc smog cutter bars, good ass tires.
It would be pretty funny to build it period correct with 10 speed sram, silver rival, thomson/thomson, tan sidewalls, dt swiss 240 to open pro. Sounds classic but oh man you should just jump in your time machine and stop hitler instead.

Here's a little sneak peak while my intended cranks are on back order.
My initial shakedown ride had me impressed and surprised; being new to titanium I could only go off of what I felt as hyperbole by its fan base. I'm probably speaking to Moots' design and construction but the ride felt surprisingly snappy and stiff. This is the lightest bike I've had in a while and likely the "roadiest". Even my last Gunnar was sized up to 58cm to get a tall head tube and upright position with a short stem. This Vamoots is a 56cm paired with a 110mm stem and although it feels aggressive it just feels right for a bike of this type.
I look forward to more miles and hey maybe I'll even start shaving my legs again (although I'm never buying road shoes ever again).
