Gunnar Hyper X (the other one)

Picked up this 2016 Hyper X on here for brass tacks, build is going to be a mix of old and new.

A fresh coat of Turtle Wax, will let it cure and rub in another tomorrow. Hopefully it’ll cure nice and hard before the headset gets here on Tuesday and I can dig into the build.

And a little mood board to keep to visualize my headspace for the build.

What's the "old and new" build like look like?

That red is so damn perdy.

Star Witness, my favorite song on that album.

Looking forward to the build!

More fun bits, though not 100% on the mixing of polished alu and Ti.

Looks great. For a brief while, I actually thought about buying this for myself and building it up with some spare parts but I am glad it found a good home

This is mostly a parts bin build, I’m excited to use this stuff instead of selling it

I saw one of these hanging in a shop over the weekend, in an absolutely beautiful orange color. It looked absolutely badass. If I didn't already have a fat-tire bike solution it might have come home with me. This one looks great too.

Was going to be a a 11 speed Record mated with a 10-42 Sram X01 cassette. But due to some confusion on what was in my spares box I have the wrong XDR driver for my wheels. The 11-46 SLX cassette in the picture is just too big for the derailleurs chain wrap.

So options:
* new freehub body:$170
* 11-40 XT cassette: $95
* R8000 group I already own: free
