One thing I like.

Crank rings have Black lettering and numbers Not white like previous.

Also interested to see this improved Cable Kit that Campy put out. Work with 11speed? It supposed to be cross compatible 11 and 12 speed. We will see.

The rest of the bits. Nah I'm out....

If last week someone had posted here that Campy was going to release a 12 speed group that took up to 32 in the rear with a tightly spaced cogset, single rear derailleur standard, enlarged shift levers, and fit on all your existing 9/10/11 campy hubsets, and with more understated graphics, every MAMIL here would be singing it's praises. Instead the retrofetishism comes out in full force.

Ride what you like I guess, even if it's 20+ year old stuff.

And no 1x systems with the release of 12? Id think they could grab some serious market share doing a 1x 12s system. i guess ill stock up on 11s now?

Can’t “+1” this post hard enough.

I like the slight design changes/ cues from Dura ace but still not willing to fork out for a current gen 11 group.

Nice that it works with same campy 10-11 hub size.

A minor item but do not like the use of a lower case “r” with the logo redesign.

Let me see, from what I read the chain is pretty much the same, what they did was to make the rivets and rollers inside the link rollers pieces smaller, I have just one problem with that, the chain might be stiffer??? is not a problem for me because i do not cross chain as bad as other people does but probably those chains wont last that long. The good thing is that if you put a narrower chain in a 11 or 10 speed group that thing will be super silent and thats a plus IMO.

I like the RD, looks super light, with the other parts who knows, I have old stuff around and I buy just the parts I need, and the only bike 11 speed I have is one project that has potenza in it and with that one I dont see my self using all the cogs, actually i have used 2 of the 11...12? dont need that unless campagnolo stop producing 10 speed parts, that so far still does so far I know.

The new-fangled 12-speed groups may work great, but as a non-racer, the marginal benefits of the technical tweaks do nothing for me, while the massive aesthetic compromises completely turn me off. Time to continue the hoarding of 5-arm goodness, and older 10/11 speed stuff. I'm too young to be a retro-grouch. Maybe it's time for a new classification - neo/retro-grouch?

This. Took years for the 11S crankset to "grow" on me, more years for the newer 11S crankset to "grow" on me (altho' I still have two of those groups in boxes, collecting dust). That 12S crankset, not seeing it ever growing on me. Or the brakes, which look SRAM-ish, and that is not a good thing. Felt no need for the 11th cog, still not feeling the need for the 12th. Like Colnago going to the wacked BB standard and non trad TT, Campy loses me as a potential buyer. But I still have five silver alloy 10S groups (on three lugged, one tig steel frames, and one CAAD9, along with 2 10S carbon pre UT groups)), will never run discs other than the MTBs, will never run electronica on my bikes (at least), so what do I know. Someone will love this, just not me.

I think it looks nice. The gear ratios seem better than their 11s equivalents. If this eventually makes it down to Chorus I could see splurging in a few years.

You know, I was having the same reaction reading this thread and even thinking "how in the world was I considering disc brakes for a future road/gravel bike?" Then I find these two fine posts

I do so like my 5-arm SR white label cranks. And they fit Rotor Q-Rings nicely. Also, nothing like that satisfying feel of the "clunk" of a nice, solid mechanical shift. To quote Clean39T, here's to neo retrogrouches
