Artisanal bike gear is unbothered by such ordinary concerns.

Also, there is an elastic loop on the tongue that can hold the lace ends neatly.

The crazy thing is I just finished my old steel specialized. Upgraded with Mavic wheels, sram force carbon 10 speed groupset. Carbon bars seat post & stem. With FSA crank. It’s still a heavy bike lol

I am a little bummed out I finally was able to get out to the Garage( due to birthday parties, work and 3 little ones) and go over everything with the new bike it has dura ace front & rear mechs with Sora 3x9 shifters (Boo....) But I cant wait to ride it.

Here are the pictures of my two bikes

don't worry, your bike doesn't know that, only you do.

I've got the Giros with the loop in the laces, but all ya gotta do is tuck the right lace in the shoe. /problem

I actually made my first bike-related purchase in a long time and received the items yesterday.

I bought a lot of Park/Var/Bicycle Research tools. Some pretty old, some a bit rare, and a lot of duplicates. All well taken care of. I need to inventory and sell off the excess. Anyone need cone wrenches ?

I'll echo the previous comments that the little loop on Giro shoes completely removes chances of getting the laces caught in your drivetrain. Also, RE: fashion over function, laces allow the tension of the shoe to be more finely adjusted across your foot, instead of just at 2-3 points with a strap. I've never had feet more comfortable than in VR90s.

I had a pair of Shimano XC5 gravel shoes, they had an elastic strap to tuck the laces in, not a problem. I liked the lace feature but not the soles, too flexible.
