Waterproof phone wallet recommendation

My timbuk2 case is no longer functional, so I need to get a new bag for my iPhone 5. Need one that is mostly waterproof. Just for rain. looking at one of the 6”x3.75” ones. Chums, Snek or Rapha. Others? Recommendation?

I've just been doing ziploc bags. They aren't sexy, but seem to be good on keeping the phone dry.

If that is too pedestrian, check out:

Probably doesn’t need to be said but your iPhone 5 could be upgraded to a waterproof 8 and solve this whole deal and get you a lot more.

the two best things about my 7+ is the water proofness and the camera.

I've water damaged many phones directly (went through the washer) and indirectly (jersey pocket sweat intrusion)

+1 for upgrading the phone if possible. I have the 5S and it's starting to show its age and incompatibility. The X and 11 and stupid expensive though, so I'd say get the latest you can afford so it's as iOS compatible as long as possible.

I bought one of these a few years ago on sale and it's really just the perfect case for what I need: https://silca.cc/products/borsa-amer...essentials-bag

The Rapha ones are great, even the non waterproof one kept my iPhone 6s dry in a downpour. Add a tiny ziplock inside for insurance if it pours. They were on super sale recently with rapha’s clearance.

Appreciate all the comments. Will look into upgrading as well as some the custom bags.

You can find similar products for $15 or so. Above is one example.

$260 dollar solution for something that you carry with you anyway and is waterproof and can call 911 if you need it. Let's see a ziplock bag do that.

why so negative? the OP asked for recommendations and got a bunch of good ones of many different price ranges.

before i had a water proof phone, i would carry mine in a small dry bag. what i would do is put it in horizontally and "roll" the bag flat against the phone. that setup saw me through deluge rain and years of sweat without a hint of a leak. very compact too.
