Shimano GRX 'SE Silver' group

I just got word Shimano is doing a special edition GRX 'Silver' kit for some builders. It'll be a 1x or 2x 800 series group. I do not have pictures yet. But this will be for smaller builders like Pegoretti, Grandis and some others. I have 3 on order when it's available. I've heard is going to be limited to a few hundred groups total and it's supposed to be used on those specific builders frames.

At least this is what I've been told so far from one of the builders. I don't know if this is a European Only thing or what since I don't have full details yet.

I could be interested in a crankset if available separately!

From what I've been told, it's only complete groups and only for certain builders. I will hopefully have more details in the next week or two. I'm curious what the kit will look like.

Are these sprayed silver, or polished?

If sprayed, good grief, you can have them.

If polished, then how did they slip them past the bean-counters, particularly for a limited run?

From what I was told, polished. But again, it was a brief mention that it's happening. When I find out more I will let everyone know.

I just installed a GRX crankset on my road bike to try out.
If I end up liking it I might strip the anodizing and polish it.

As imagined, the double crankset is jewelry to my eye.

Thanks to Velocipede for the heads up! It looks like it will be a pass from me.

These are lovely. I would be shocked if they go mass-market with these, though.
