In slow-mo it looks like the Jumbo-Visma rider was handing his water bottle to the fan, the fan reached out with both hands, one of which held a small bag that catches the rider's handle bars.

Cav needs a better finish scout to mark his sprint start. Second time he tried a way long sprint, first time he was lucky, this time it bit him. Back to basics, if you are fast at 200m, ride a wheel until you cross that 200m mark, he was out smarted by Demar and Cab.

Cofidis screwed up the QS train. Forced Morkov into the wind about 50m too early.

I think Cav would've lost to Ewan at least anyway - Lotto finally realized they'll never compete with QS on trains and decided to just deliver Ewan to Cavs wheel.

Thomas de Gendt is consistently a great animator of the break. Today, he got the win, too.

Good point. From the perspective of the ages of the peloton- old. From my perspective - young-ish

Stage 9: Isernia - Blockhaus

Who's your pick for the stage and/or pink jersey? They start climbing pretty much right from the start.

Yates - has his knee healed well enough?
Landa
Carapaz
Almeida
Carthy
Bardet
Hindley

I'm going with Landa for the stage. No pick for the jersey.

My money is on Bardet to do something (yes, he's on my VG team).
