This weekend was the maiden voyage and I love it so far! It's intended as my 'all-rounder' do anything, go anywhere bike and is outfitted with a 36t inner ring and 11-32 cassette. I'm looking forward to rain rides, gravel roads, light trails, and jaunts to the cafe. (better pics to follow).

Nice Litespeed.

I'm out that way often, maybe I'll see you out there someday.

Not a moots and not nearly at the level of some of the other bikes here, but a damn fine ride nonetheless. Shaped tubes, and I think butted tubing. The geometry works well for me.

LeMond Victoire, updated with an Enve fork, 3T wheels, flite, etc.

Nice picture.

I just acquired one of these frames. Yes, the tubes are butted and shaped. Mine is a 55cm (56.5 TT). Any words of wisdom, and any ride/handling impressions for me to ponder while I acquire parts for my build?

Nothing jumps to mind. Threaded bottom bracket, "normal" fork. The rear triangle will handle some 28's but not others. I have Continental 25's on wide rims, with an actual width of about 27.5mm and that's about the widest I'd go.

I tend to buy into the LeMond philosophy of slacker seat angles, wider handlebars, long cranks (I'm 6'4" and run 180mm cranks and 46cm bars), and "stage racing" geometry that's more stable than bikes designed for criteriums... but that's an old 1980's dichotomy that isn't a prevalent today anyway. It's pretty neutral handling to me, in my size, and I mean that in a good way.

I'd go with either 5800 in black or 7700 in polished silver, but that's a personal choice.

Enjoy it! In my opinion, it's at least 95% of the way to any modern bike.

My first owned Ti bike

Really enjoyed the process. When I get a chance I'll write it up over on the custom build section.

Thanks for the info! I'm considering either going Campy Athena or Veloce (to go with my 2 other Campy bikes), or trying something new with the well regarded 5800 groupset.
