Cxmagazine announced live streaming on FB this morning so I am guessing it’s out there for all to see now

USAC said somewhere that they were going to start streaming around 12:30 EST on Saturday on their youtube and FB feeds. I think CX magazine is doing the same.

But this brings up a chance to have a minor rant over something that's been bugging me all week -- first, USAC has done a terrible job making information available about when they will be streaming it. At first the only mention I could find about it was where USAC responded to someone's comment on an instagram post.

Second, this thing started Tuesday. Why no live streaming all week? And the only recap footage I can find is little 5-10 second clips on CX Magazine, barely anything from USAC other than a few podium shots or finish line clips.

I get it, maybe not everyone wants to watch the masters and and the College club races and stuff, but is it really that much more effort to throw up a live stream of that stuff somewhere?

Compare this to some of the UCI world cup races earlier this season, which were being broadcast live on the Olympic channel (and presumably NBC sports gold).

Anyway it just seems that USAC is putting zero effort into publicizing this or making it accessible.

Harumph. Get off my lawn.

^I understand what you mean; all of the the national championships are ostensibly the showcase for USAC CX. But I think production costs for anything resembling watchable streaming are $$$. So I'd think any streaming would be reserved for elite races.

W/ respect to masters racing, etc., I would think USAC would have a developed social media approach to racing and results, but I haven't checked into it (all I see are FB posts/pictures and straight results).

I'm following this and hope there's good streaming for the elite champs.

I think I remember reading that it costs somewhere around $30,000/day to livestream a cx race.

So....

Yes, I think it would really be that much more effort to throw up a livestream of the misc races earlier in the week.

It seems they do a decent job on their twitter feed with updates and short videos.

What mud! Good, tough racing. Rooting for Compton later, but any way it goes, it's a win-win. Imagine Keough especially is getting running legs ready, and Ellen is revving up. Among other great racers.

Hyde seemed strong at NBX, but maybe someone's got a card up their sleeve?

I raced enough mud races this year that I'm very very glad I'm not there racing.

Ugh

USA Cycling YouTube steam is working well.

Good commentating by the team.

Elite Women coming up - should be a good one.
