It was hot! And ready didn't help when you crashed.

Perhaps an additional non-stretch panel could support three rear pockets? I typically carry phone, credit cards, cash, food, and roadside tools. |

Pockets have always been a weak point. One of the things I find is that fabrics (good ones) are very long wearing and nice these days but often the elastic at hems or the elastic portion of the fabric gives out long before UV or other problems. Maybe UV plays a roll in the elastic.

Buy clothes that fit. If it says it's too big.

The fit is fine. Some jerseys just have better pockets and better construction than others.

That is certainly a reasonable hypothesis.
Must convince my club to invest in higher-quality riding kit upfront, too. Paying extra for better stuff is pretty much always money well-spent. |

Makes sense to me to try and do this.
I don't view cycling clothing as disposable at all. Absent frequent crashes it lasts longer than just about any clothes I actually own that get worn on a frequent basis. The clothes I wear into the gym are absolute trash compared to my cycling clothes. Stuff like Nike Dri-Fit falls apart in 1/10th the time of something like Assos bibs. |
