Ok. Whew! Great suggestions and glad to know I'm not the only one who has experienced this. A good 25 years of riding bikes and I have never seen flats like this and then 3 in two weeks got me thinkin' all supernatural and stuff.

But yeah it sounds systematic so I need to find out what the deal is.

yes, this. i have had this happen a few times before too, and it's the same what the .... feeling, haha.

inspect closely, you'll find the culprit, both the tire and the rim surface.

incidentally - this is always how i am subject to flats. i wont have one for months and months and months, then - bam! flat after flat.

this kind of stuff will drive you a little crazy. just remember, it's all pretty random and luck based and these are small potatoes problems compared to the big picture

Same here ... I'll go thousands of miles without flats, and then in a few days every bike seems to have a flat tire.

I'll roll this grenade.... The reason why I went road tubeless was tiny strands of wire.
