Everyone knows that the dead skunk in the middle of the road came first.

And on a moonlit night ya got a dead toad frog...

Sure. Make a route that seems ill-advised but a good personal challenge and join the party..

I hope to return with photos of a partially consumed doissant, endlessly epic views of power lines, interesting findings in the canals, and more!

haha.....love this. I did something similar last year to combat COVID boredom: decided to ride every street between the beach and the first major road above the beach in Manhattan Beach...which is like 80 streets, each one about 1/10th of a mile long and 12% avg gradient. Just a bunch of short, sharp hills.....I knocked out 4500 feet of climbing in 14mi before I got bored and called it a day. The profile looked like a hacksaw.

Will miss the "official" Five Faces of Soledad on Thxgiving, but that's my own "stupid" goal at some point in the next month.

edit to add Five Faces route: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/31460216

Will prob try this one in Dec at a very, very slow pace just to see if I can do it after being off the bike a lot recently.

I'll not bother constructing the route, but maybe I'll post after I do it.

I have two weekday routes which, absent the transit to/from portions, exceed 200 feet of elevation per mile. Each is a series of dead end climbs with significant double digit portions, one in Beverly Hills and the other in Bel Air. I plan to link them together, which will end up being around 8k feet in 40 miles, so not as stupid as Clean's but should at least qualify as dumb if not stupid.

I’ve thought of even dumber idea, and it’ll be more fun, I think, than pedaling mindlessly along canals.

I will go up and down Mt Lemmon two times on the same ride. Updated original post!

You could do up highway, down Oracle Ridge, back up Oracle Ridge then back down highway.

Currently contemplating my own stupid ride which might be something like linking all of the Golden singletrack into a big day.

Ok, here is stupid.

Everyday for a week.

Ride in the Pryenees. Nope that not's stupid.

It was the stupid "daily commute" - every day for a week AFTER - riding the cols the only way to get back to the hotel was to climb half way up the Col du Tourmalet from Luz Saint Sauveur to Bareges.

Everyday, worn out, hot, sweaty, middle of summer.

Frying pan hot - knowing the day would be topped off by having to drag half way up that climb just to be able to get off the bike.

You want stupid - that my friends - is stupid!
