Bike Jumble Brooklyn, NY!
The first Bike Jumble (big swap meet) of 2022 is this Saturday in Park Slope, Brooklyn. http://www.nybikejumble.com/
Had a good number of Paceliners there in the past. Lots of cool people and cool bikes. I no longer live in NYC but will be there! EDIT: Updated for 2022! Last edited by cribbit; 05-03-2022 at 04:46 PM. |

Cribbit, are you involved with mechanical gardens? I live a couple blocks from the event, but will be at a birthday party. I have some misc. parts that are 100% functional, but not worth the hassle of selling/shipping that I need to find a good home for.

Yep, mechanical gardens. Donations are always appreciated, we will make sure they get to a good home.

The forecast is looking good. I'll be there splitting a table with a friend.

5 boro tour: rain af every year
Bike jumble: sunny and happy Someone should update their weather protection 7 people from the co op (including myself) and 1 super awesome honorary member stood outside in the rain for almost five hours fixing flats and other mechanical issues for 5 boro riders a couple of weeks ago. Support your local bike co op! Last edited by cribbit; 05-16-2019 at 12:11 PM. |

/\ nice, tomorrow will be a nice day. Wish I was down in the city and I would come by. I am sad that I never get to go anymore as I am always up in the catskills during the weekend.
Maybe one day. Hope some of you find some nice stuff. |

Great jumble, the garden location works well but is a little smaller than the Park Slope location and has less foot traffic.
I helped a seller get a nice Spectrum custom titanium sold, which was easy because his asking price was darn cheap. Sold for just $800, full 10spd dura ace including seatpost, king headset, reynolds fork. Saw a guy sell a very nice dark blue De Rosa fully built with DR fork, stem and seatpost for just $750. Big win for the collector who nabbed it off him. Saw a nice Serotta change hands. One seller showed up with about 50 bikes, left with about 5. Some sellers sold a ton, others sold little. Seemed like a good day for full bikes, less so for parts. A couple different gangs of fixie kids came through with impressive bling. Mechanical Gardens fixed quite a few people's bikes, including several just sold to them there at the Jumble. All in all a good day. |
