I suspect you have it right, but I haven't owned any bikes with BS serial numbers.

2003 Colorado III
The serial number on my bike is CCO 60 1245. The Serotta production card is dated April 29, 2003. I bought the bike new and I'm still riding it.

I just inherited CSI serial number CS 58L 618 and would love to know more about it. I removed the old Ultegra triple setup and am in the process of doing a restomod with a mix of Sram 1x components.

Nice CSI. The model was introduced in 1995, replacing the CR/CRL as the top steel model in the line. I'd guess 618 would probably have been produced in 1996. I have #958, produced in 1997. It has the 25th anniversary decal, and has head tube mounted cable adjusters.

1980's Serotta, serial number 5452.
Hello. I have a 1980's Serotta, serial number 5452.
Stuff I remember when I bought it: The dealer was in San Jose Ca area. I recall they had 2 Serotta frame models, one race geometry and one touring geometry. This is the race model. Does anyone know the actual model name of this bike? (if it had one). Thanks. |

I think the serial number indicates that it was built in April of 1985. I would need better pictures of the details of the frame to guess what model but it's most likely a Club Special.

the only serotta in brazil might be mine ;D
Hi, I'm negotiating a serotta build and just asked the owner for it's serial number (CNV 53.5 188), for what I understand it recalls to a Custom Nove, seat tube 53.5, production number 188.
![]() ![]() As you might imagine, this is the only serotta bike up for sale here in Brazil and I think it might end up being mine, so I'm trying to get to know as much as possible about it before the purchase. For what I seen, a similar bike with 182 serial number was posted up for sale somewhere with 2005 year in the description; For the headbadge, I'm not able to extract any info yet ![]() Hope you can help ;D Last edited by Szttmn; 06-21-2021 at 07:38 AM. It might be a Nova Special. The only differences I know from a Club are that the Clubs I have seen have an engraved fork crown and are made from SLX tubing, while the Nova is SL. You might be able to see the spirals in an SLX seat tube from the top, but it's more likely to see them with the bottom bracket removed.

Trying to determine year my CSI was built
Hello,
New to the forum, but a vintage cyclist (53yrs young). I have a CSI that I am trying to determine what year it was built. The serial number is CC 59 1114, what is strange is that the top tube is long like 60.5-61cm ctc, the seat tube is 59cm ctc and the head tube is 176mm, it has a F1 carbon/Ti 1" threadless fork. Unfortunately this bike just sits as it is just a little too large/long for me, it is for sale as a frame/fork/Chris King headset/Deda 100 cockpit. It was resprayed with Dupont Imron and is stunning in the sunlight. |
