Mouthwash is supposed to be effective in killing COVID in your mouth.

Me neither..no haircut either(well, my son gave me one, looks pretty good but as an old fart, you get away with anything...

Had my teeth cleaned for the first time in 13 months 2 weeks ago, then 6 days later the dentist calls to tell me the hygienist tested positive. I got tested, negative. Then several days later we hear that her test was a false positive. I don't know how they concluded that, so I stayed pretty close to home for the two weeks after the appt.

I went in the summer after my March appointment was cancelled. The office was great. PPE worn by all, fewer appointments so less people around. I was very comfortable they took the necessary measures to try their best to stay safe.

I had a march appointment that was cancelled.

I was having some sensitivity/pain around May/June that really concerned me and I talked to my dentist on the phone. I almost went in for an emergency appointment. Turned out it was allergy meds causing the pain (dry mouth -> sensitivity).

I finally got into the office towards the end of September so it was close to a year. Same experience others have had. Lots of PPE and caution. No use of the water pick type tool or the electric toothbrush. Sanitizing mouthwash solution.

I am lucky I have really good dental health and am very careful.. didn't end up with a cavity or anything.

I would suck it up and not be afraid of the dentist if you're out doing any of the other things people are doing, especially if you're going to in-restaurant dining. Priorities.. we never even do in person shopping, we're like 99% delivery since March, but you can do remote dental care at all, and sometimes you need to go to the doctor/hospital.

I am really glad I got my appointment done just about the time our local caseload was about at it's minimum. Mid winter could be a lot more scary.

Absolutely go to the dentist and other medical appointments that you need for good health. My dentist added face shields to the already worn face masks and glasses. Also a 30 second mouth wash for me before starting.

This thread reminds me of a Steven Wright, he of the deadpan one liners. I went to one of his shows years ago. Hilarious.

"My dental hygienist is cute. Every time I visit, I eat a whole package of Oreo cookies while waiting in the lobby. Sometimes she has to cancel the rest of the afternoon's appointments."

Good one!
Tim Allen had similar joke about "giving his dentist a challenge, so he eats a sleeve of Oreo cookies and a raw onion" on his way to appointment.

That would be a terrible situation for me, I can't imagine my life without dentist consultation at least once per month. I think that it is allowed to go out only if you have a statement in which you will include the purpose of travel. Maybe it will work like this and you will not have any problems. I know that there is a really cool clinic, called https://thehealthysmile.net/dental-services/cosmetic-dentistry-bay-village-ohio/, I guess they have more offices, so you can check and see the closest to you. They are really good specialist, so you can go at least for consultation.

Covid is so contagious - Cancelled all appointments - no dental, no vision, no dermatology, no haircuts.
Use instacart for food deliveries.
But still run and ride.

I chosen to miss my 6 month cleanings until things get a little better. I think I will survive. But did go to my dermatologist. I did blood work for my doctor and had an online physical.

I tend to agree with this. My dentist has limited numbers of people in office and I can’t come in until they are ready for me to be in the chair. Eye care is more complicated but works. I haven’t had a haircut since late Feb. I’m starting to look like a member of a wanna be garage band.

Went to the dentist today – my second visit since the pandemic hit. It seems pretty safe.
