OT - any experience with portable door locks?

Wondering if anyone has any real life experience with portable door locks.
You can take them with while traveling, or use them safely when you don't want to drill. There are wedges, knob braces, things like that.

Anyone use one regularly?

Yep, wife traveled with one for years. Worked great, was an alarmed wedge.
She felt much safer, slept better.

Guess you are unaware of what occurs in “high end” hotels and resorts. Personally I have not used such a device, but understand why folks might want to use one.

Our pastor had his iphone and ipad stolen from his hotel room...while he was sleeping. It wasn't a dive. It had a deadbolt but not manual flip lock thingy.
