Help identifying Serotta (Atlanta?)

Scored this one in rough shape last night for close to nothing.
Seller has no real idea what it is but claims it's straight without any dents or damage.

Assuming the BB is not stuck, I might just have it shipped straight to Al Wanta.

Looks like an Atlanta?

Yeah, thought about that too but the guy is quite active in selling on one of the FB cycling groups.
Don't think that would be the best/smartest venue to sell stolen stuff.

Nice score, and winter project.

I'm assuming the bird poop is included in the sale price...

Yep. Check under the lower head lug for a bulge but the previous owner MAY have swapped in a steel for the carbon fork. The carbon was really harsh for some reason.
Former Atlanta owner here...

Serotta used the crown on some of the Rapid Tour framesets so it could be a Serotta fork. Have the seller check for the serial number on the bottom of the BB and on the fork steerer - that will tell you for sure.

I bet if you sand through that red paint, you'll find original frame decals still on the bike. That is about the crappiest paint job I've seen - right over the headset and bb.

I stand corrected, good to know that some Atlanta's had a flat fork crown.

I agree, but I like those kind of projects.
Resurrected my CSi in a similar way after fixing a bad dropout brazing job.
My favorite bike or at least the one I am the most attached to.
