Want to get my MET Rivale helmet custom airbrushed/painted

I’m looking for someone that can custom paint/airbrush my current MET Rivale helmet. If anyone has ever had it done, I’d appreciate any recommendations. Local would be great (NYC/LI) but shipping out the helmet works too.

Would modifying the helmet invalidate the safety certification of the helmet? I think it would look awesome but I wonder this from a safety POV.

A painted helmet you say? Why not go to the best!

I wish I was cool enough to need this.

No

My bike painter has told me that the solvents in the paint and clear coat would compromise the structural integrity of the helmet. He paints Motocross and Motorcycle helmets but won’t paint my helmet..... but

He has said that there is some process, he calls it “dipping” that could be done safely.

I’m thinking the best solution might be a “wrap”

YMMV

See these youtube videos by ETOE. He seems to be able to paint anything bike related.

I haven't viewed the videos to see how close they pertain to your needs, but he may be able to answer concerns about paint solvents and bicycle helmets. Try contacting him through youtube.

He's got a great personality!

There’s a couple decal companies you can look into.

Not sure how exactly he does it--looks like it's a regular spray job from an older video post--but if he's good enough for Danny Ricciardo (Formula 1), he's good enough for me.

If and when you get yours painted, please share pics so we can all admire it.

I’ll get in touch with these companies, individuals and see what they can do or say about painting a bicycle helmet. Thanks for all the input.
