i only did about 25-30 miles of the 50 something. It was mostly gravel, very little pavement with some soft patches here and there. Glad i used wide 26" slicks with side knobs but more skillful riders were slicing there way through on skinnys.

very scenic but i missed the best stuff through and around Arcadia

2 rest stops along the way with liquid and fruit

GPS turn by turn may be available

Pretty sandy? Looks like Big River. I'd like to see the turn by turn map.

Here’s the 2018 route. Lots of fun, and very challenging in parts. Loved it.

Thanks, saved both routes. These are mostly gravel? I know the stuff through BR, but the roads to the west are not familiar to me.

Thanks Steve D.

Arcadia is great for fire roads. I have an invaluable Arcadia map that shows the various trails...mtb, fire roads and walking. available from Great Swamp Press for $13

How are these (Greasy Joe's) roads/trails looking lately? Anyone been out there lately?

I was in BR mtbing on Sunday and Arcadia recently. Trails in BR are fairly clear with the usual wet spots, Arcadia had more trees and limbs down from gypsy moth damage and storms. Dirt roads are clear.

I forgot to mention that I rode the Greasy Joe loop a couple weeks ago. It's a good one. Definitely on the mtb'y end of gravel riding with some rustic fire roads and single track. A few smooth dirt sections too.
My hardtail was a good bike selection for making the trails good fun and making easy work of the leaf covered rocky bits.
Safety orange is recommended for Nov/Dec with hunting season ongoing all over this area.
