I spoke to the owner, after we figured out it would not work for me he followed up with someone from Clearwater that had offered him $1000, but then backed out. He said he thought he could get more on EBay but did not want to deal with Shipping, thats when I told him about Bikeflights.

From the conversation I had with him and the photos it looks like a decent find, price seems to be about right (CL price). I think he would still be open to an offer that would not require him boxing the bike up.

Of course the idea occurred to me a bit late, but I'll be at the Rapha DC Clubhouse this Wednesday July 25 with a pair of my new bikes.... but I thought it would be fun (and educational to the under 50 crowd) to show an old team bike.

Receptive to other team bikes as well? Coors Light, Sierra Nevada, Olympic teams, that women's team with the onyx/pink frames who's name escapes me? Others I've forgotten?
