Hoods

After obsessing over pre/post 2015 Record 11 levers and being advised that it really doesn't matter I pushed aside my OCD and ordered a set off of the bay, year unknown. My only issue is the hoods, need black.

Now my OCD has woken and is asking for retribution. It demands to know whether the levers that I have so carefully chosen are pre/post 2015.

How do I tell?

It also appears that they may be some differences in the shape of the hoods. Is that factual?

Lastly, why the change mid stream anyhoo? I certainly admire the pre cranks which drove my initial decision.

Thanks,
Brad

There is a white box surrounding the group name "chorus" "record" etc on the 2015 + levers

Whilst on the pre 2015 levers there was no box only the letters by themselves and just a small box around the "11" logo only.

The hoods shape is the same just slightly different design on the hoods themselves. Campagnolo script in white on the 2015+ hoods.

This makes your levers pre 2015 as there are no white box around "record" and only around "11".

Pre..2015+ levers have white take up spools..yes, 2009 levers had white ones too until a running change that made them with more clearance and black but the logos were different.

Just to clarify, which generation levers are in the original post? Also, sending you a PM.

Those levers are 2013..'white box' and black takeup spools.
2015+, the take up spools went back to white.
