23 Days in July - 1983 Tour de France
No racing on the TV machine? Check out the old stuff. This documentary follows Aussie Phil Anderson during his '83 Tour. This is right around the time I really started to pay attention to pro racing and it was fun to see how many of the names rang a bell. Also, the nostalgia of skinny tubed frames, TTs done on the same bikes, wool jerseys, toe clips and short shorts on male spectators. Ah, the 80s!

Thanks for the link. I'm going to check that out later today, after a rollers session.

So weird, I just watched it yesterday! Great to see the Renault, Peugeot, Reynolds jerseys. One thing I was wondering about was when they showed close-ups of the Peugeot team bikes - are those the first carbon frame bikes, the ones with carbon tubes and aluminum lugs?

Guess I answered my own question. Take a walk back in time with this link: https://on-the-drops.blogspot.com/20...eugeot-py.html

I watched this over Christmas! It inspired me to pick up a Peugeot.
