Hey for all you Minnewaska-lovers. Was there Saturday and talking to the ranger she told me the current Empire State Parks pass sticker is being phased out and replaced with the Empire Pass card. This I think is great since the sticker (which I currently have) is only good for the one vehicle you stick it on. The Empire Pass is a card good for whatever vehicle you're driving or in.
The card is the same $65 price as the sticker was, until March then the price goes up to $85.

Verkeerderkill Falls! Nice!

I did that hike Dec 6th, before the 1st snowfall:
(I wouldn't want to take that picture with ice on the rocks!)

Not sure if you guys did this, but there is an access at Aumick Road that has a gravel road switchback to Awosting.
I never did this ride, but here's a blog post from https://ridingthecatskills.com/2016/...ick-road-hike/
This is really a hiking trail, but some have biked it (its too tough for me, and a gravel bike or MTB is mandatory).

Sorry I missed this ride. I was in the area that Sunday (closed the bungalow a week later).
There's a lot of good road riding there also. I do the climb to Sam's Point a few times a year, and also a ride through Minnewaska (good hiking there too).
