Pull the pads.
Check pad spring. Reset the pistons. Wipe down pistons with alcohol. Press down one piston and hold it while exercising the other piston out a bit with the leaver. Clean around the piston with a q-tip. Push the clean piston back in. Press down the clean piston and exercise the other piston out. Clean piston. Press piston back into caliper. Exercise both pistons multiple times and re-clean/DOT grease if necessary. Re-install Pads. Insert caliper mounting bolts a half turn from tight. Squeeze lever, tighten 1 bolt. Spin wheel, check for rubbing and manually adjust the caliper until it stops rubbing. Tighten second bolt. *you might have to go back and forth loosening and tightening one or the other bolts to get it perfect. Then go to LBS if above fails. |
