Centaur no longer exists on the campagnolo.com website

is 11 speed Campagnolo a thing of the past?

Looks like it. No Zondas either.

This seems a very calculated effort to move Campagnolo fairly definitively as upscale only.

That may be a smart move for them, much as it's personally disappointing.

That would be a real shame to lose Centaur & Zonda.
Both are great functional pieces of gear

guess it depends on what the Chorus sells for.. not sure there is anything wrong with going away from 11sp.. I'm sure the same argument was made when they went away from 10sp.. or Veloce.. I mean Campy seems to keep carrying on, so I guess they're doing something right.. my guess is since Campy comes on very few OEM bikes (so little need for a "cost-cutting" group), that most folks buying Campy for a build have been purchasing Chorus as the starting point (I know that was the lowest I was looking at when I bought my 11sp group BITD..)

I don't really have a dog in this fight as the thumb buttons really don't work for me any longer due to arthritis in the hand (esp the thumb area).. and I'm certainly in no position to buy EPS..

I've got two Centaur cranks I'd be happy to let go. One is silver, 50-34, 172.5with the BB cups; the other is carbon, 172.5, 53-36, no cups.

If you want to start hoarding 11 speed stuff, let me know.

No Zonda or Shamal Ultra is the bigger news for me! Might do some hoarding

Interestingly enough, the Bora WTO and Scirocco rim brake wheels are still on the page as of this morning. The last, forlorn hope of rim brake fans, perhaps.

Has an official statement been made one this? I get Centaur and Calimas going away, but Zondas feel like they still have a place.

It's campagnolo, they probably stopped production on the current zondas, but it would be silly to think we've seen the last of the name. But really, they were getting pretty outdated at this point and in need of a refresh.

I would have expected the refresh prior to them disappearing.

Yep, an updated version is probably in the works.

Centaur 11, Zonda C17s etc are all still current product, no plans at this stage to discontinue.

Of course the consumer website will put the emphasis on the most recent product releases but that doesn't mean that other, longer standing material isn't available.

If it's a current product, then why would they remove it from the website? Are they trying to keep it a secret?
