Now we're talking!
Looks like a wonderful place to walk around in but I'm not sure you'd see everything in four hours!

When N = 749.

When you need a furniture store to hold your bikes.

I thought this might be about Clean39T but it says “owns” and not “owned”.

I would love to see that collection. I know very little about the earliest bicycles. I do remember that bicycle racing was a very big sport in America before the automobile came to be. How many Serottas and Waterfords are in his collection!

Incredible. I remember those kids bikes when I was a kid with the big stick shifters on them. Always thought those were so cool.

I had one. 3 speed. Purple banana seat. High rise bars. Didn't have the tall "sissy bar" in back, though, just a shorter one.

The best story is this - when I was learning to ride a bike up and down the sidewalk, my parents drilled into my young brain that pedestrians had that right of way, so whenever I encountered one on the sidewalk I should move over into the grass to let them pass.

I distinctly remember telling myself many times as I executed this instruction, "Presbyterians have the right of way."

wow.....that is a bonkers collection. Makes me sad to see them all just sitting idle, but for most of them the only other option was probably a landfill or someone's basement, so at least this way people can still see and appreciate each of them.

Have never been to that far NW corner of IL......

My younger brother and I went to a private Catholic school. To us, all other schools were “public”. Walking home one day we passed a parking lot with a sign reading “Public Parking”. He asked my how come Catholics can’t park there!
