Big Ole Raleigh in Denver
https://denver.craigslist.org/bik/d/...694666708.html
Super large-frame Raleigh Olympic commemorative bike 69.2 cm/27.25". This was Raleigh's top of the line sport touring bike sporting the same graphics used on the US Team Race Bikes in the 1984 Olympics (see mfg's cut sheet). Bike was found as a frameset and components researched and hand assembled to make the bike you see here. Extreme care was taken to supply components that were originally installed on the bike or if not possible, at least period correct and superior quality. It looks terrific and rides just as good, but it will require some long legs! Frame: Raleigh 555SL double butted main tubes in chrome-moly with chromed, chrome-moly fork, designed and engineered in the USA, manufactured in Taiwan. Front wheel: Araya 27 x 1 1/4" satin finish aluminum wheel with Sansin hub. Rear wheel: Weinmann RM19 6061-T6 Aluminum alloy. Tires: New and almost new Kenda 27 x 1 1/4". Freewheel: Suntour "Perfect" 6-cog freewheel in beautiful shape! 14-30 tooth. Crankset: SR (Sakae Ringyo) Apex 40-52 tooth. Front derailer: Shimano. Rear derailer: Shimano RD-MC16 "A" long-cage. Stem shifter: Shimano Unishift, like new! Handlebars: SR manufactured Raleigh Record 39 cm wide with the Raleigh bird and US flag logos. Stem: SR forged and painted black for this model. Brakes: DiaCompe 500 sidepulls with quick releases dated 7/84. Brake levers: Dia Compe with extensions and swivel head quick releases. Seatpost: SR fluted LaPrade in very nice condition! Seat: Selle Royal Viper. Pedals: Union brand, made in West Germany K10491 track pedals. ![]() Not mine and all that jazz |

More Bigness in Denver
Not mine, but could facilitate if need be
68 CM Gunnar Crosshairs. I purchased and built up this frame several years ago and still love it but, unfortunately, it does not see enough use to justify keeping and needs to go. This is a Gunnar steel frame (built by Waterford) with a steel Gunnar fork. The color is a sort of speckled green/gold and was a one-off/color-of-the-year when the bike was built. It is a joy to ride and will take you almost anywhere. Parts are a little older but still function well. Geometry chart can be found here: http://gunnarbikes.com/site/bikes/crosshairs/ . Seat height is @ 88.5 cm as pictured (I'm a bit over 6'7"). Great bike for taller riders! -Dura Ace Shifters (7800, I think? It's all 10 speed). -105 Front and Rear Derrailleurs -180mm Sram Apex Crank -DT Swiss custom built wheels--240s hubs and R.R 1.1 rims. -TRP CX9 Brakes (stop much better than Cantis!) -33.3 Jack Brown Tires (Slicks) -Deda Deep bars with Handlebra leather bar tape. -Ritchey stem, seatpost, and headset I also have a rack and full fenders that were used briefly if you want to turn this into a great commuter. Text or email if interested. Will delete this ad when it is gone. ![]() |

Nice. If this were shorter in the top tube and had discs it would be a done deal.

Tall Chris Kvale in MPLS CL
https://minneapolis.craigslist.org/h...680486995.html Seller's text below: ---------------------- Frame Specs: 67cm c-t seat tube 60cm c-c top tube 7.5cm drop 3.25cm fork offset 73.25 HT angle 72.5 ST angle Columbus SP with Columbus tandem downtube. Reynolds 531 ST and steerer. Dura-Ace 7400 / 7410 through the whole bike. NOS D/A Uniglide cassette and chain just installed. New Clement 700x28 tires, Jagwire housing and cables, and Fizik bar tape. The frame is in decent shape but does have some paint loss here and there. It presents well, but would need a re-spray to be perfect. The bike is pictured with a Ritchey seatpost, but I have the correct fluted Dura-Ace post that will be included with the sale. I also think I still have the original paperwork from Chris when the bike was first built. $1,400 cash and the price is firm. I might also consider trades for other tall high end bikes or frame or vintage high end audio equipment. |

Serotta DKS Cyclocross Bike - $3500, Phila CL
https://philadelphia.craigslist.org/...671017057.html
seller's description: "For Sale: Rare Titanium Serotta Cyclocross Bicycle 59.5 cm Near Mint Condition. DKS rear triangle. Very, very few Serotta Cyclocross bikes with this feature. Shimano Ultegra Triple Groupset! Ridden only a few miles on the road, Never ridden off rode. Comes with a Rolf Wheelset and an American Classic Wheelset with tires and cassette for an offroad or cyclocross set up. No dent, dings or scratches. Truely like new condition." ** I know these have something of a cult following. Never seen one as a CX version before. Still an ambitious ask of a price, though, IMO. |
