Mavic Neutral

this pains me to post, as it's literally one on a very short list of bikes that I want to own at some point....but alas, when the budget doesn't exist, I'd rather someone here get it and keep it "in the family".

I have an unnatural love affair with the Mavic Neutral bikes.....especially the Litespeed Ultimates. Probably just because they're rare and unique.

The seller must not have Google, as Litespeed didn't start putting carbon stays on the Ultimate until 2003....and I assume this is an Ultimate, as it matches the profile. Can't imagine any bike in the 1999 had carbon stays....pretty sure that was a 2002/2003 trend.

Still not a terrible price for an Ultimate with Chorus...especially one so unique. If someone here buys it I call dibs if you ever opt to sell it

Looking at that seatpost, it appears that 65cm was not big enough for the owner.

or best offer>.no bids to date so $2000 seems like a reasonable offer. I still think if someone can get this bike for $2000 and it fits them it I a great buy.

There are times I look at a bike and want it so bad the mental gymnastics of trying to justify it are enough to cause an aneurism.

Like this.

Oh, lordy.

The Bianchi Infinito appear to be an older frameset. I don't think it is the newer frame with the countervail technology. Don't know how much of a difference that makes but I really enjoy my 61cm Infinito CV.

It's pre-CV but I've been on one and it's sweet.

Of course, I wouldn't kick a CV out of bed for eating crackers...

I have never seen anything in such a size either, but I have seen a few Rossins and Cioccs that approached it.

If a Merckx comes up in my impossible size and the color makes me go ew, that's s pretty good reason not to consider it right?
