I think i would get one of these. just came across this on my ebay feed. looks like a really great bike. anyone own and ride one of these 9'iners? they look really well done.

i'm not in the market, but this one is somewhat appealing

They're not bad, not great - can be good value, used, for their utility.

That said - Niner has had long ongoing QC issues - I've had a bunch of their MTB frames and the last one I built up I had to chase/face every interface and bolt hole on the frame. Niner's response to this was to tell me I didnt know what I was doing and to leave it to the professionals at my LBS to sort.

So if you can snag one cheap and need one just plan on really giving it some attention before assembly and it can be a good bike for you.

Looks like Post Mount brakes if that matters to you. Can't speak of anything else about the frame.

Unless its flat mount and 12mm axles front and rear, don't do it. 2015? I'm guessing a 15 mm front axle and the those are definitely post mount. Unfortunately, that ship sailed....in 2016 Crazy times It would have to be just about free, and even then. Plus you'd have buy a fresh head badge

The motor? That's a different story, I like that concept way more

Yeah, I have one. It is a nice bike and I like it, but I'm not sure I would say there is anything magical about it. Anything specific you want to know?

I look at my QR, ISO tab, 135mm rear spacing Macho King and sigh....

My 2010 Jamis Aurora Elite has disc brakes... And 130mm rear spacing. Yes 130mm discs. Ouch.

I know one guy with the 853 version that you posted and another with the alloy version. The guy with the 853 said the ride was nice, but would have in retrospect have gone with the alloy because it was way heavier and he ran 40s anyway.

Other dude with the alloy loves it. So that's my 2 cents and really is nothing more than anecdotal. Alloy friend just got a carbon Rip 9 as well and frickin loves that bike.
