He fell ill during the Covid lock down but saw less playtime before that. Club wants to extend his contract.

Bayern - Barca two halves read like two sets of a one-sided tennis score -- 4:1, 4:1...

And Coutinho went into full trolling mode
Also, not even Arsenal manage to lose by four in 90 minutes. Omnishamble performance Last edited by echappist; 08-14-2020 at 04:44 PM. |

In other news, after millions more pounds have been spent on fullbacks since the last time it was dumped out of the Champion’s League, Man City is still full-on shyte at defending. All that money spent, only a mickey mouse league cup to show for it.

Yes but i enjoy it .)
Lyon is a very solid team tho. Disciplined and a bit boring. Hats of to them .Getting past juventus and city is impressive. I would not have put money on that even at very nice ods. |

I wouldn't be happy if I paid more for the transfer fees of the two starting fullbacks on my team than what Lyon paid for its starting eleven.
And it wasn't a fluke either, as Lyon took the game to City in last year's group stage as well. |

The transfer fee Bayern München paid for all 11 players of the sqad that spanked Messis Barca was about 1/2 of what Barca paid for Griezmann alone.
(this is Bollocks because when you hire Lewandowski on a free, as Bayern did, the money that would have gone to selling club still changes hands only it ends up in someone else's pocket - but it makes for a nice tagine doesn't it )

That said, you guys are playing two academy products (3 in you include Davies). That's quite commendable. And the fee you paid for Kimmich and Thiago are downright ludicrously low. That's some shrewd bit of scouting. Mystery as to why Barça allowed a talent such as Thiago leave. I mean, yeah, they still had Xavi and Iniesta then, but a bit daft not to think of succession plans. Ditto with the hare-brained trade to swap Arthur. The coffers at Camp Nou must be getting low, after lavishing ~400 Mil on just four players |

Koeman to Camp Nou?
That's what the latest (credible) rumor is suggesting.
I hope he's getting compensated well for this, as that's gotta be one of the most toxic workplaces in football. A club whose reputation is based on the past but in a financially precarious position, having mortgaged its future. Of course, Koeman will be going back to the club where he had much success as a player, but one wonders if he's in over his head. This may also have the knock-on effect of diminishing De Oranje's chances of securing the European Championships... |
