C13 works for me. Carbon version isn’t too hefty.

Besides, it’s easier amd less costly for almost anyone to take a few grams off their ass than off their bike.

Love them. I have 4-5 C13, plus an assortment of leather Brooks. They work for my wife and me. I did have one on a hardtail mountain bike start to crack across the middle. I blame the rider’s 200 pounds more than Brooks.

Had a c15 and am a big dude. Ultimately it was too bouncy for me. Back to the specialized Romin...

I have a C13 on my Breakaway, love it. It was comfortable right out of the box, and the weight penalty wasn’t an issue for me.

If the design fits your butt, I would recommend jumping on one to give it a shot.

I tried one for a while but it didn’t work for me. I didn’t worry about the weight penalty at all, but they are a bit heavy. One annoying issue was that the saddle very noisy. It developed a squeak after a couple months of use. I ended up disassembling it and lubing all the connecting points...worked for a little while but returned.
Great looking saddle though.

Really enjoy the c17 natural I have on my casual bike path rider / commuter. No bike shorts needed. FWIW I usually ride a toupe 143.

I like it and currently have it on two bikes, but my butt seems to prefer the B17.

C15

I've got two C15's. One on a road bike and one on a cross bike. This butt likes them. I think they look good too.

I have a C15 carved. Always felt kinda "Meh" about it. Had it on my Bridgestone, but when that bike got rebuilt I put a Specialized Power 168 on it, so the C15 is just sitting in my parts bin.

I have two Cambiums - a C17 natural and a C15 All Weather. I'm pretty sure my next saddle purchase will be a C15 natural. The materials are comfortable and my only complaint is that the canvas likes to rub through my jeans, albeit not ultra fast, just quicker than a saddle like a Flite.

I really like these saddles and intend to only keep a Flite and a Turbo around for nostalgia and the occasional ride.

I think as with most Brooks saddles, just ensure you get the correct width and that you fine tune angle and setback.

They don't call then 'Bricks' for nothin'

IDK about the Cambium but the Swift was the most comfortable saddle I've ever ridden and with Ti rails it's not a terrible weight penalty. The problem I've had though it the leather rips on them eventually so I gave up on them.

My point being don't let weight bother you. Consider yourself lucky if you find a saddle that works for you. But this is why saddle threads are almost worthless. You absolutely have to try a saddle for yourself. Fortunately I have an LBS that lets you ride a saddle for like a month or something and return it to try another one if you don't like it.

I thought I must be the only person who loves these two saddles that look so different!

Favorite saddle

I absolutely love mine. I have a C15 on my road bike and C17 on my other bikes. They're all the first generation so I don't know how the newer ones, including the all weather version, are different. One thing I like about them, as opposed to a leather saddle, is that I don't have to worry about them getting wet. I live in Portland, it's wet a lot around here.

I've used them for multi-day rides on all kinds of surfaces and they are the most comfortable saddles I've ever used. I had a carved C15 but didn't like it. It was too flexy and felt like it was pinching my plums if I wasn't wearing heavily padded shorts.

I don't see any reason to even try a different saddle since these work so well for me. I think I'm a lifer.
