You could get in under the wire at Spectrum before they stop taking orders.

One more thought that might help you narrow your search is your timeline for having your new steed in hand to ride? There's some variability in wait time from builder-to-builder and if you want something yet this summer or even year then some builders may not be an option.

I'd say the builders that feel most like Serotta to me are Kirk for stainless or steel (literally same guy building), Firefly for Ti or carbon/ti, Zanc for steel, ti, or aluminum. IF and Seven too.

I have one on order! Checked a bunch of boxes, including the fact that 4 previous employees of Serotta work there. Great people to deal with as well, seriously amazing customer service!!!

But you can!

I have a beautiful CSI frameset refinished/rebuilt by Eric Winter.

Discs and fenders!!!!!

New Winter fork.

Just hanging on a hook.

Bought it for my son who promptly outgrew it.

PM me if you want details.

Most of my bikes have Serotta lineage. I still prefer rim brakes for the road, but my No22 Drifter is an excellent bicycle for on and off road and they have Serottas old titanium equipment there. I also have a rim brakes version if the Great Divide. Both are excellent bikes!

I have two David Kirks and can attest to the level of craftsmanship they are built with. Mine are both rim brake versions, but wouldn't hesitate to have him build one with discs if I were so inclined. His bikes are the Pinnacle of modern steel with a classic look!

I have an aluminum Zanconato 1x disc that is also amazing. I've seen many lugged steel Zancs while doing rides like D2r2 and the farmer's daughter and they are all gorgeous and come with high praise. I am sure Mike could also build you what you seek!

There are also the likes of Dave Wages, Kelly Bedford and Tom Kellogg who would not disappoint either. I'm sure there are lots more to choose from as well.

Based on a 1-minute survey, Gunnar, Rodriguez, and maybe Seven have nice offerings which may be configured with disc mounts and disc-compatible forks.

Discuss... but not the disc part.
Carl Strong has built two frames for me. great workmanship, reasonable price, great fit, tons of experience, and on time delivery too www.strongframes.com
