White Industries announces the G25A rim
Nice !
Perfect dimensions for me, hope these are on display at NAHBS. Have to love WI. Although the hubs are quirky, 180mm cranks and now a 36h rim are nice support for us big boys. Last edited by donevwil; 03-13-2019 at 05:29 PM. |

Yeah that one detail (weight) was missing. I currently have a wheelset with 32h WTB Asyms at ~540g, too beefy for even my needs. These would be sweet if they are under 500g.

“Recommended tire widths of 40-54”....
I’m scheming on a bike and these rims look great. I wonder if a 35-38 would be an issue |

Their announcement to dealers said 490g for weight. Maybe figure that that's a couple of grams optimistic, but WI generally has their s__t together quite well.
Excited for these. |

700c? Which means 650b would be ~455 - 460?

Sounds about right, a Raceface ARC25 with similar dimensions has an advertised weight of 428g for 27.5. Mine were less than that. They’re laced to WI CLDs. Would have been great if they made these 6 months ago.

Appears they won't be available for another 5-6 months, hopefully I'll have a bike that can use them by then.

Mike at Black Mountain Cycles just posted 8 new wheel builds using these rims, says White Industries will have them at the show this weekend.

Interesting that White would get into the rim biz but undoubtedly they see 'wheelsouttaboxes' in their future and having a rim made by them(or contracted by them), makes sense. Has worked for other, HED, Mavic, Campagnolo, shimano...etc..
'Made in California'..wonder by whom..

would love to see a rim brake version, but that's probably wishful thinking.
someone going to NAHBS - ask them about that, pretty please?
