Oh the aero straight pull??

Hmm..Sapim and DT make spoke similar to the one you are looking for in J-bend.

Wont be exactly the same but if you need just a few nobody will notice the new spoke is not as wide as the original ones, unless your friends are forumites :P

Probably Sapim CX-Ray or CX-Sprint pretty close. Do you need a few or a wheel's worth? Length? I have some plus a spoke cutter/threader...

I managed to pop the chain over the cassette yesterday. Once on a while I wrench like a real amateur.

So I need to replace 6 290-1mm spokes. I nailed all the leading spokes. Of course they are white, but not as concerned with matching as having a wheel SPokes are not going to break.

These are 1x3.2mm, so I'd wanna stick with something not less that 3mm along the blade width.

So these are true 'bladed' spokes..with a slotted hub(I'm guessing)?
All current DT and Sapim 'aero' spokes are only about 2.3mm..really oval, not bladed, so you don't have to slot the hub.

BUT-DT 'New Aero'..here..

I've used the MacCN aero-spokes, both the 3.0x1.0 big blades (type-494) and the 2.4x0.9mm "aerolites" (type-424). They worked fine. There are some old forum posts (elsewhere) saying the "bend" isn't always a perfect 90-degrees from the "blade", so I bought a few extra in case of any duds. They were all perfect from my eyeballing.

I used the eBay seller "good886" based in Taiwan and everything went fine.

Have/has your use/wheels be in service for ant durations worth mentioning form a longevity standpoint?

Thanks for chiming in, all...

Thousands of trouble free miles on the 494s. 424s are on race wheels with fewer miles but no problems.

Update

Got the 6 DT New Aero from ColoCyclist for $17.00 shipped and wheel is solvent again.

Got off easy that time... hate to imagine what the LBS would charge to do it up. $8.00 or more per spoke and what ever they might get away with for labor. My Park truing stand paid for itself years ago...

Thanks for the input folks.

I think this was meant to read $41.70?

$417.00 seems a bit pricey for 6 spokes and shipping.
