I have a pair...like them...I went up a size for fit but that is also that I wanted a lil extra room for heavier socks...good stuff and work well...they have a decent sized wide footbed in front which helps or at least it did me etc...

Charlie...I live in Vermont... so cold via weather ...but I dont go out in the harsh stuff if that helps...I go out until say about 25 degrees or so but havent taken them in snow...as I use them they have been good. Have not used in really wet stuff so can't say but they seem like would be fine to be honest....

Captain Pedantic -- and also Captain Pretentious, since this was the name of my teenaged prog-rock band back in the 1970s -- wants to point out that it's Ragnarok, not "Ragnarak"
...strictly speaking, it should be Ragnarök, which even 45NRTH misses. As precocious (and, as noted, pretentious) teens, every time the cops came by to cite us for violating neighborhood noise ordinances during our rehearsals, we'd make sure they included the umlaut on the citation: "Two dots over the o, officer!" |

I have some Wolfhamers and the warmer weather shoes, which I think were called Japanthers. My first set of Japanthers had to be replaced because the zipper blew out, and the second pair is only good for people with narrower feet than me. I'm much less inclined to ride in cold weather now or I would replace them. I probably would get 45nrth, because it's easier for me. Last edited by unterhausen; 10-15-2024 at 11:49 AM. |

I live in NY/NJ area so obviously less cold than Vermont and have tried 45Nth before and just couldn't get on with them. I love riding in the cold and was determined to find a good solution and wound up buying these Spatzwear Winter Overshoes and my word did they work. Super warm. I wore them all fall/winter/early spring and didn't have a single issue. Sometimes I had to double up on socks but that was pretty rare. Not going to lie but it was probably the best investment in terms of warm kit I've purchased.

I ended up trying 42/43/44 and kept the 44. I measure 9.5 (bigger foot) on a Brannock FYI
I would say they run small. |
